Setting up Windows Phone
Setting up your Windows Phone to use ActiveSync is easy. You can find instructions for Windows Phone 7 and Windows Phone 8 below.
Windows Phone 7
- From the home screen, push the arrow in the upper right corner and go to Settings.
- Under the System tab, select Email & Accounts.
- Select Add an Account.
- Select Outlook.
- Enter your Advanced Email Address and password, then click Sign In.
- You will see a page that asks you to verify your information and try again. Your email address and password should still be populated for you. If they are not, re-enter your email address and password. Click Sign In again.
- You should now see a message stating the settings could not be found. Click Advanced.
- Your email address and password should still be populated for you. If they are not, re-enter your email address and password. Leave the Domain field blank and enter the mail server mail.epbfi.com. Click Sign In.
- You should now be back at the accounts menu. Verify your account is listed.
- Congratulations, you have set up ActiveSync on your Windows Phone!
Windows Phone 8
- On Start, swipe left to the App list, select Settings, then select Email + accounts.
- Select Add an account, then select Outlook.
- Enter your Advanced Email Address and password, then click Sign In.
- You should now see a message stating that you need to check your information and try again. Select Advanced.
- Ensure your Advanced Email Address and password are in the E-mail address and Password fields.
- Enter your Advanced Email Address in the User name field.
- Leave the Domain field blank.
- Specify mail.epbfi.com in the Server field.
- Select Show all settings and make sure the Server requires encrypted (SSL) connection box is selected.
- Click Sign In.
- Congratulations, you have set up ActiveSync on your Windows Phone!
