Setting up Windows Phone

Setting up your Windows Phone to use ActiveSync is easy. You can find instructions for Windows Phone 7 and Windows Phone 8 below.

Windows Phone 7

  1. From the home screen, push the arrow in the upper right corner and go to Settings.
  2. Under the System tab, select Email & Accounts.
  3. Select Add an Account.
  4. Select Outlook.
  5. Enter your Advanced Email Address and password, then click Sign In.
  6. You will see a page that asks you to verify your information and try again. Your email address and password should still be populated for you. If they are not, re-enter your email address and password. Click Sign In again.
  7. You should now see a message stating the settings could not be found. Click Advanced.
  8. Your email address and password should still be populated for you. If they are not, re-enter your email address and password. Leave the Domain field blank and enter the mail server mail.epbfi.com. Click Sign In.
  9. You should now be back at the accounts menu. Verify your account is listed.
  10. Congratulations, you have set up ActiveSync on your Windows Phone!

Windows Phone 8

  1. On Start, swipe left to the App list, select Settings, then select Email + accounts.
  2. Select Add an account, then select Outlook.
  3. Enter your Advanced Email Address and password, then click Sign In.
  4. You should now see a message stating that you need to check your information and try again. Select Advanced.
  5. Ensure your Advanced Email Address and password are in the E-mail address and Password fields.
  6. Enter your Advanced Email Address in the User name field.
  7. Leave the Domain field blank.
  8. Specify mail.epbfi.com in the Server field.
  9. Select Show all settings and make sure the Server requires encrypted (SSL) connection box is selected.
  10. Click Sign In.
  11. Congratulations, you have set up ActiveSync on your Windows Phone!
